NetworkLatencyView Review
NetworkLatencyView is an application software download free Windows that analyzes new TCP connections and determines their latency. It works differently than other latency testers on this list, as it doesn’t issue Ping tests; instead, it listens to all new TCP connections as they appear and calculates their latency at the transport layer.
The program has a simple interface and displays the results on a tabbed panel. It shows the average of up to 10 Ping test RTT values, as well as displaying the IP address and host name of each new connection. Additionally, the program offers other information like first and last latency time, failed count, and destination country.
Using the built-in traceroute tool, you can see every hop between your computer and the target website or server. The results are displayed alongside the corresponding IP and hostnames, with accumulated latency shown in data columns. A graph is also available that visualizes the current round-trip time for each hop.
The tool can be used to troubleshoot latency issues in your internet connection, ensuring that the internet is fast enough for real-time streaming of audio/video content, for example. It can also be useful for determining why your system has been slowing down and stopping audio/video streaming, as it could be due to your computer’s hardware or internet connection. It is a free-to-use tool that requires no installation and can be used from any location with an internet connection. Results can be exported as TXT, CSV, HTML, XML, or tab delimited files.
